Francine Houben at Velo-city Conference in Taipei

25.02.2016 - Events

Francine Houben will be one of the panellists in a plenary discussion session at the Velo-city Conference in Taipei, Taiwan, on Monday 29 February.

Named ‘Designing the City for All’ the session will question how to take cycling into account in the design and planning of urban landscapes. What can be done to make it safer, more attractive and convenient for everyone to get to, through and around the city?

Francine will be joined by Riccardo Andrea Marini, Director at Gehl Studio, Julia Nebrija, Urban Specialist-Consultant of World Bank, and Anne Chung of the Taipei Department of Transportation.

Velo-city conferences bring together engineers, planners, architects, social marketers, academic researchers, environmentalists, business, and industry representatives who are involved in policy, promotion and the provision of cycling facilities and programs.

The 2017 edition of the conference will take place in Arnhem and Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
