Eurojust moves into new premises in The Hague International Zone

24.03.2017 - Project updates

The construction of the new premises for Eurojust in the International Zone in The Hague has been completed. Contractor Heijmans handed over the building on March 24, 2017. Completion of the interior will continue over the next few months as preparations for the moving in will be made. Eurojust, the EU agency which deals with serious cross-border and organised crime, is expected to be fully operational around summer.

The design team of Mecanoo architecten, RoyalHaskoning DHV and DS landschapsarchitecten created an elegant and modest building surrounded by an undulating dune landscape. Sloping windows in the light-coloured composite facade playfully reflect the sunlight and skies. The landscape is intersected with walls of Corten steel and fits in well with the public space of the World Forum area on the other side of the Johan de Wittlaan.
