The Library of Birmingham has been shortlisted for the Blueprint Awards 2014 in the category Best Public Use Projects. As a profoundly public building, the library has been very well received by the people of Birmingham. In the first year since its opening, the library has welcomed over 2.7 million visitors. The award ceremony will be on October 11th in London.
