Francine Houben on March 30th in Pakhuis De Zwijger

26.03.2010

Francine Houben will be speaking at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam on Tuesday the 30th of March about 'her' Bijlmerpark.  Francine Houben comments the following on her work: “I would like to create unforgettable spaces”. She sets high standards for herself and therefore also for her clients, builders and future users as she did for the Bijlmerpark, a competition she won in 2003. Next year this “Happy place” will turn into sports fields, a magnolia valley, a butterfly garden and a tree garden with 150 sorts of trees. The Bijlmer will have its own ‘central park’ once the six hundred dwellings around the park are completed. But what makes this park a Houben park?
