It is our pleasure to inform that the National Kaohsiung Centre for the Arts has been selected as the 2019 Architizer A+Awards Popular Choice Winner and Jury Winner in the Cultural - Hall/Theatre category at this year’s edition.
The Architizer A+ Jury Winner is selected by an illustrious jury, comprising equal parts architects and designers, cultural thought leaders, developers and other creatives.
Mecanoo was presented this year with the Special Honouree Award.
Each year, the A+Awards selects five key influencers to honour in addition to the year’s Jury and Popular Choice Winners. These honourees are chosen for their extraordinary contribution to the field of architecture and highlight projects that are championing architecture’s potential to positively impact everyday life. Past honourees have included renowned designers such as Studio Odile Decq, Adjaye Associates, Studio Gang, Tatiana Bilbao, PENDA, and more.
The Architizer A+Awards is the largest awards program focused on promoting and celebrating the year’s best architecture and products. Its mission is to nurture the appreciation of meaningful design in the world and champion its potential for a positive impact on everyday life.
